Graeme Sharp
Biography
I have lived in Perth pretty much all my life. I grew up building and flying model aircraft and competed at a national level for almost 20 years. I moved on from model aircraft into hang gliding and competed at a state level. With flying being so weather dependant I then went on to riding motorcycles. I have only been riding motorcycles for a relatively short time getting my restricted licence in 2001 and my open licence 12 months later. I have done a number of Advanced Riding courses in the meantime including the race craft days at Wanneroo.
I completed my instructors ticket in 2007 with the help and support of the Staff at Alert Motorcycle school where I am working full time.
Trips: 2007 (April / May) I Rode to Darwin with a group of people for the purpose of raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The ride was called 'The Long Ride'. It is by far the longest ride that I have done on two wheels. More than 200 riders from every state met in Katherine to be escorted into Darwin. I have ridden across the Nullabor numerous times to Adelaide and a couple of years ago I took the opportunity to drive across to Townsville.
